The CEO of Singapore Airlines has announces that a consortium of airlines representing Star Alliance is likely to bid for a share of Thai Airways International once it is privatized. Thai Airways International is currently the largest airline in Thailand with a fleet of over 80 aircraft and a significant presence in Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. This bid is part of a broader strategy by the Star Alliance to expand its presence in the global aviation market and challenge the dominance of other major players in the industry, such as Oneworld and SkyTeam. If successful, the Star Alliance would gain access to Thai Airways International's extensive network of routes and facilities in the region, as well as its advanced technology and expertise in the field of aviation.
