Disney illustrator Carl Barks, who was known for giving Donald Duck his unique and amusing personality, passed away at the age of 99 on Friday. Barks had been undergoing chemotherapy for leukaemia, and he died peacefully in his sleep. He worked as a Donald Duck illustrator for the Walt Disney Studios between 1935 and 1942.
