The European Commission has requested the President of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Ali Rodriguez, who also serves as the Venezuelan Oil Minister, to assist in reducing the price of crude oil. The price of crude oil stands at $ 32.6 per barrel on average.
