Under the agreement, Cisco Systems Inc. will acquire the closely held Komodo Technology Inc., which develops devices that enable analog telephones to make calls over internet-protocol-based networks. The deal will involve exchanging approximately $175 million of Cisco common stock for all outstanding shares and options of Komodo.
