Eurostat, the statistical agency of the European Union, says that in May, the trade surplus of the 11-member euro-zone shrank considerably, surprising analysts as oil costs soared. The surplus reaches 100 million euros ($91.6 million), compared with 1.5 billion euros a year earlier. Analysts had expected a surplus of 800 million euros for May.
