HSBC Holdings PLC has announces its acquisition of a 75% stake in Bangkok Metropolitan Bank, the eighth largest bank in Thailand, for a total of 36.6 billion Thai baht ($940 million). As part of the acquisition, HSBC plans to restructure BMB's capital structure to maintain an appropriate level of capital.
