Security software companies have issue a warning to computer users today, advising them to take precautions against a new and more powerful strain of the "love bug" virus that spread worldwide earlier this month. The virus, called "Herbie Love Bug II," has already infected several thousand computers, according to experts. It is more destructive than the original virus as it not only erases files, but also attempts to evade detection by altering its appearance. However, there is optimism that it may not spread as rapidly as companies have implemented security updates since the initial outbreak of the love bug.
