Broadcom Corp. has reached an agreement to acquire SiByte Inc., a chip manufacturer, for approximately $2 billion in stock. This move is aimed at expanding Broadcom's range of integrated circuits for broadband by adding chips for high-speed internet access and faster corporate networking.
