The most ambitious endeavor to establish a cross-border airline has been terminated as British Airways has halted its merger discussions with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, raising questions regarding the future course of action for both airlines. According to insiders, the talks fell apart due to disagreements over the control of the merged airline. A joint statement issued by both companies stated that their relationship remains cordial despite the setback.
