In an effort to merge together with Inco Ltd, in a deal valued at $ 17 Billion, Falconbridge Ltd sells its Norway nickel refinery for USD 650 Million to LionOre Mining International Ltd. This is seen as a strategy to win approval from regulators watching the merger deal.
