Malaysia Airlines reports that one of its aircraft was hit by a flock of birds during landing in Katmandu, Nepal. While the landing-light lens cover was broken, the windshield remained intact. Damage from bird strikes is a common occurrence in aviation and can pose serious risks to aircraft.
