Mexican businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego agrees to buy Grupo Televisa's 50% stake in mobile phone company Iusacell for $717 million. This deal allows Salinas Pliego to regain full ownership of Iusacell, and he is now seeking a strategic partner to further strengthen the wireless carrier's position in the Mexican telecommunications market.
