The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reaches an agreement with two petroleum industry groups regarding biofuel blending targets. After delays in issuing rules on blending renewable fuels, the EPA agrees to propose draft biofuel use targets for 2015 by June 1. Additionally, the agency plans to re-propose biofuel targets for 2014 using actual volumes consumed and issue targets for 2016, complying with legislation aimed at reducing reliance on foreign oil.
