Thousands of migrants, primarily from Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, arrive in Vienna after Austria and Germany waive asylum system rules. They had traveled through Hungary and were given the choice to register in Austria or proceed to Germany. Additionally, the first group of migrants arrives in Munich, Germany, with France's President François Hollande agreeing to accept 24,000 refugees out of the expected monthly influx of 100,000. Some migrants break out from a holding center in Hungary and march towards Budapest, accompanied by police.
