Wikipedia blocks 381 accounts involved in "black hat" editing, wherein individuals were paid to create promotional articles without revealing their affiliations. The blocked accounts were found to be operated by a coordinated group, engaging in deceptive practices. The articles primarily focused on businesses, businesspeople, and artists. Some affected businesses claimed to have been scammed by the rogue editors. The action was taken following an extensive investigation named "Orangemoody" by volunteer editors.
