Turkey reaches an agreement with the European Union to assist in curbing the flow of migrants to Europe. In exchange for cash, visas, and renewed talks on EU membership, Turkey agrees to take measures to manage the influx of migrants. As part of the deal, the EU pledges 3 billion euros ($3.2 billion) in aid to support the 2.2 million Syrian refugees currently residing in Turkey.
