Google announces that it will test its Project Loon initiative in Indonesia in 2016. The project aims to provide wireless internet access to remote and rural areas using Internet-beaming helium balloons in the stratosphere. Google hopes to deliver LTE-speed internet to over 100 million unconnected Indonesians within five years.
