The French data protection authority gives Facebook three months to cease tracking non-users' web activity without consent and to halt certain transfers of personal data to the United States. This action follows a ruling last year that invalidated the transatlantic Safe Harbour agreement, requiring companies to establish alternative legal arrangements for data transfers. While a new pact has been agreed upon, European authorities need more time to decide on potential restrictions.
