Greece's largest refinery, Hellenic Petroleum, agrees to purchase oil from the National Iranian Oil Co., marking the first sale of Iranian crude to a European country since the lifting of trade sanctions. The deal resolves an outstanding debt estimated at around €500 million to €600 million owed by Hellenic Petroleum to Iran for oil purchased prior to the imposition of sanctions.
