Iran starts the construction of its second nuclear power plant in Bushehr with assistance from Russia. This project is the first since the nuclear deal with world powers was reached in 2015. The power plant, set to go online in 10 years, will consist of two plants with a total cost exceeding $8.5 billion. Each plant will have a capacity of 1,057 megawatts.
