Canada and China announce free-trade talks with the goal of doubling bilateral trade by 2025. In 2015, the two-way trade between the countries amounted to approximately CAD 60.37 billion (USD 46.08 billion), making it the third largest for Canada after the U.S. and the European Union. This initiative aims to deepen economic ties, enhance market access, and create new opportunities for businesses in both nations.
