India announces a plan to provide biometric dog tags to every cow in the country to combat cattle smuggling. The Unique Identification Number (UIN) dog tags will be tamper-proof and contain essential details such as age, breed, sex, and physical characteristics of each cow, including calves, oxen, and bulls. This initiative aims to enhance identification and prevent the illegal transportation of cows, addressing concerns related to animal welfare and unauthorized trade.
