Blackstone Energy Partners and Sanchez Energy Corp. form a strategic partnership to acquire Anadarko Petroleum Corp.'s working interest in the Western Eagle Ford shale formation for approximately $2.3 billion. The deal grants Sanchez Energy and Blackstone 155,000 net acres primarily in Dimmit and Webb counties, Texas. The acquisition includes drilled but uncompleted wells and adds significant production volumes to Sanchez Energy's portfolio.
