Battulga Khaltmaa from the opposition Democratic Party is elected as the President of Mongolia in the second round, defeating former Prime Minister Miyeegombyn Enkhbold of the Mongolian People's Party. Battulga, a former Member of Parliament, previously held positions as Minister of Roads and Transport and Minister of Industry and Agriculture. His election reflects the democratic process in Mongolia, as the country chooses a new leader.
