Tuimalealiifano Va'aletoa Sualauvi II is appointed as O le Ao o le Malo, or Head of State, in Samoa. He succeeds Tufuga Efi, who held the position since 2007. Prior to his appointment, Sualauvi II served in various roles, including police officer, lawyer, and Samoan Police Chief Inspector. He is an elder deacon and lay preacher for the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa.
