The debate surrounding e-cigarettes as a smoking cessation aid continues. A new study published in the BMJ suggests that e-cigarettes may help smokers quit their habit. Contrary to previous studies, this research indicates that 65% of smokers using e-cigarettes attempted to quit, compared to 40% of non-users. Furthermore, approximately 8% of e-cigarette users who tried to quit were successful, compared to 5% of non-users.
