The United Kingdom officially notifies the European Council of its intention to withdraw from the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community. The triggering of Article 50 marks the beginning of the Brexit process. However, there is still no agreed roadmap for negotiations between the UK and the EU, adding uncertainty to the process.
