Swedish automaker Volvo plans to double its investment in its first U.S. plant, increasing the total investment to $1 billion. Volvo will add a second production line to the factory in South Carolina, creating an additional 1,900 jobs in addition to the 2,000 already planned. The expansion aims to support Volvo's growth in the U.S. market and will involve the production of the S60 sedan and another undisclosed vehicle.
