Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze resigns, stating that he has fulfilled his mandate of creating and implementing a strategic development framework for the country. The ruling party is expected to nominate his successor, possibly Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia. Bakhtadze aimed to enact liberal reforms and strengthen Georgia's ties with the EU and NATO, despite tensions with Russia.
