Kuwait and Saudi Arabia reach an agreement to end their five-year dispute over the Neutral Zone, allowing production to resume at the Khafji and Wafra oilfields. These oilfields contribute about 0.5% of the world's oil supply. U.S. oil company Chevron expects the Wafra field to return to full production within 12 months. The agreement includes final demarcation of the border and defines sovereignty in the divided zone, ensuring a stable achievement for both countries.
