The world's largest bee, Wallace's giant bee, is rediscovered on an Indonesian island after decades of being considered lost to science. The giant bee, named after naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace, was last seen alive in 1981. Its rediscovery provides an opportunity for further research and conservation efforts to protect this vulnerable species, which has seen a decline in its population.
