A second adult patient, known as "the London patient," is declared HIV-free after receiving a bone marrow transplant from an HIV-resistant donor. The patient has been in remission for 18 months without taking HIV medication. This follows a similar case in Berlin ten years ago, showing the potential of stem cell treatments in achieving HIV remission.
