Prime Minister of Algeria, Ahmed Ouyahia, resigns following President Bouteflika's announcement that he won't seek reelection. He is replaced by Noureddine Bedoui. Ouyahia, a former Prime Minister, is considered close to Algeria's military and has been involved in the country's political landscape for decades. Bedoui, previously the Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities, assumes the role of Prime Minister during a time of mass demonstrations and political change in Algeria.
