Physicists from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, along with colleagues from Switzerland and the United States, successfully reverse the state of a quantum computer by a fraction of a second. This research demonstrates the counterintuitive nature of time in the microscopic quantum world, where the laws of physics allow for events to be played in reverse without violating fundamental principles. The study explores the concepts of time symmetry and the second law of thermodynamics.
