Kosovo holds early elections to elect new members of the Assembly. Vetëvendosje, led by Albin Kurti, achieves an unprecedented victory. Kurti's party emerged as the largest political force in Kosovo in the previous election and continued to exert pressure on the government as the opposition. He became Prime Minister in February 2020.
