Yemen's Houthi rebels have pledged to eliminate child soldiers from their forces, according to the United Nations. The rebels have signed an "action plan" to prevent the recruitment and use of children in armed conflict, as well as refrain from harming or attacking children, schools, and hospitals. The agreement includes identifying and releasing child soldiers within six months. The internationally recognized Yemeni government in exile has also made similar commitments in previous agreements since 2014, the UN noted.
