The India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) officially commences, strengthening bilateral trade ties. The first consignment of jewellery products from India to the UAE was flagged off by B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, Secretary of the Department of Commerce. This agreement grants India preferential market access to over 97% of UAE's tariff lines, boosting Indian exports. The CEPA aims to surpass $100 billion in bilateral trade in goods and $15 billion in trade in services within the next five years, fostering economic growth for both nations.
