Japanese companies have secured mid- to long-term natural gas supply deals with Omani and U.S. producers to ensure stability following the turmoil caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Three Japanese firms, including Itochu Corp., Mitsui & Co., and Jera Co., have agreed to purchase a total of 2.35 million tons of LNG annually from Oman starting in 2025.
