Starting from February 15th, China will require certain companies holding large amounts of user data to obtain regulatory approval before listing overseas. The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) will implement the network security review process, aimed at companies engaged in data processing activities that could impact national security. If the review determines that a company's data processing activities are not a threat to national security, it may proceed with an overseas IPO. China has been tightening regulations on the tech sector and emphasizing data protection.
