During an online ceremony on Tuesday, the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Russian gas producer Gazprom sign a significant memorandum of understanding (MoU) valued at approximately $40 billion, reports Iran's oil ministry's news agency SHANA. The MoU involves Gazprom's assistance in the development of gas fields like Kish and North Pars, as well as six oil fields. Additionally, Gazprom will contribute to the completion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects and the construction of gas export pipelines. This collaboration is crucial for Iran, which holds the world's second-largest gas reserves.
