Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement to develop the Durra gas field, expected to produce significant amounts of gas and condensates. However, Iran claims the document is illegal as it also holds a share in the field and insists on its involvement in any development activities. Additionally, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have agreed to explore the Arash gas field along their maritime border, which extends into Iranian waters, further escalating tensions with Iran.
