Formula One is launching the F1 Academy, a new racing series specifically for female drivers, set to commence next year. The series will receive financial support from F1 and will likely serve as a support series for one weekend of the F1 season. F1 will contribute 150,000 euros per car, with drivers required to cover the same amount, representing a fraction of typical costs in comparable series. The F1 Academy aims to recruit young talent from go-karting and junior categories, with the goal of advancing to Formula Three and eventually competing in F1.
