Beijing has introduced Convidecia Air, the world's first inhalable COVID booster vaccine, manufactured by CanSino Biologics, to encourage the population to get vaccinated amidst a surge in coronavirus outbreaks in China. Around 90 percent of Chinese citizens are fully vaccinated, with 57 percent receiving booster shots. Eleven districts in Beijing have started offering appointments for the inhalable vaccine as a booster dose, primarily for those who received two shots of China's inactivated vaccines. The needle-free vaccine aims to make vaccination more accessible and facilitate the relaxation of pandemic restrictions.
