Following the 2022 Swedish general election, right-wing parties in Sweden have signed the Tidö Agreement to establish a government led by Ulf Kristersson of the Moderate Party. The coalition includes the Christian Democrats and the Liberals, with external support from the Sweden Democrats. On October 17, the Riksdag voted in favor of Kristersson becoming Prime Minister. The government operates as a minority, relying on the support of the Sweden Democrats for each vote, marking the first time they have held direct government influence. Opposition parties have criticized the alliance with the far right.
