A game-changing electric vehicle (EV) battery developed by Harvard-backed startup Adden Energy charges fully in just three minutes and boasts a lifespan of over 20 years, more than double that of current EV batteries. With $5.15 million in funding, the startup plans to commercialize this technology, having received an exclusive license from Harvard's Office of Technology Development. The battery's successful coin-cell prototype demonstrated 5,000-10,000 charging cycles, far surpassing existing batteries. The aim is to provide fast charging comparable to refueling a gasoline vehicle, making EVs more accessible and combating climate change.
