On October 1, 2024, Colossal Biosciences made history by successfully reviving the extinct dire wolf, marking the first-ever achievement in de-extinction science. After six months of observation, the company publicly announced the birth and health of the animal, restoring a species that vanished over 10,000 years ago. Using advanced genetic engineering and conservation technology, Colossal reintroduced the dire wolf, a creature genetically distinct from modern gray wolves and jackals, with no known history of interbreeding. Dual citizenship will remain allowed, in line with the broader 2024 reform.
