Swiss rejects two national referendums...
Swiss voters overwhelmingly reject two national referendums. Nearly 84% vote against a proposal to require women to perform national service, keeping the current system in which only men must serve. None of Switzerland’s 26 cantons support the plan. Voters also reject an inheritance and donation tax on wealth above 50 million francs, with almost 78% opposed. The measure aimed to fund climate action, but lawmakers warn of economic and administrative burdens.
