Pakistan launched new airstrikes in Afghanistan’s Paktika province on Friday night, killing at least 10 people and wounding eight, according to Taliban authorities. The attacks, targeting Barmal and Argun districts, came just hours after both sides reportedly extended a fragile ceasefire. Kabul condemned the strikes as a violation of the truce and warned of retaliation. Tensions remain high following a week of deadly border clashes, with Islamabad accusing Kabul of harboring Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants, a claim the Taliban denies.
