Stellantis recalls 1.08 million vehicles in the United States and over 1.3 million globally due to a fire risk in certain 2021–2025 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator models. NHTSA warns that a defective power steering pump wiring connection can overheat, melt, and ignite, even when the vehicle is parked and switched off. Jeep advises owners to park outdoors and away from structures until repairs are completed. Dealers inspect and replace affected components free of charge, with parts expected by July 2026.
