Binance with an estimated 300 million customers globally confirms it will suspend crypto services in several EU markets from July 1, 2026, after failing to secure a MiCA licence before the regulatory deadline. The exchange withdraws its Greek application and begins notifying European users that new deposits, spot trading, staking, and Earn products will be halted. Binance says customer funds remain safe and available for withdrawal, while it seeks approval through another EU jurisdiction, possibly France. The move pressures BNB prices and raises concerns over reduced euro-denominated crypto liquidity.
